Mobile Market Voucher Program
Program Overview
The mobile market voucher program is open to Extension program participants in 8 Healthy ROOTS counties, including Bertie, Halifax, Hertford, Jones, Lenoir, Northampton, Warren, and Washington, who screen positive for food insecurity. Eligible participants will receive a $20 monthly voucher for 3 months to redeem at Ripe for Revival mobile market from June 2025 to November 2027.
Interested in your program participants receiving a produce voucher?
Extension professionals (Agents and Educators) can complete this Google Form to invite the Healthy ROOTS team to come and screen program participants at an existing program.
Once the Healthy ROOTS team receives your request, we will coordinate with the County Extension Agent or Educator to come to your program. Please note that if you are delivering a program in a lower-resourced area or already have a screening process to determine food security status, we don’t need to screen your participants again.

Food/recipe demonstration supplies
Non-food supplies for recipe sampling/demonstrations
Cooking cart (this is managed by Ripe for Revival, but we will help facilitate the cooking cart availability at the mobile market)
Dietetic intern support for recipe sampling/demonstrations (intern support depends on which schools have interns rotating with us at a given time)
Monthly Office Hours - join our monthly office hours for additional support and to chat about mobile market-related activities.
